Classes for Everyday Use
All of the Heartsaver classes are geared toward individuals who have little or no medical training. They are perfect for individuals who would like to learn for their own benifit, or for work purposes (daycare workers, construction workers individuals in an office environment, etc.) These classes use American Heart's Practice-While-Teaching technique to allow students to practice skills while watching an approved video which allows instructors to provide feedback and refine students' skills.

Heartsaver CPR/AED:

Individuals will learn CPR as well as use of the AED (automated external defibrillator). All of the Heartsaver classes are geared toward individuals who have little or no medical training.  They are perfect for individuals who would like to learn for their own benefit, or for work purposes (daycare workers, construction workers individuals in an office , etc.)  

This course covers:
Adult/Child CPR/AED
Adult/Child choking
Optional Content:
Infant CPR and choking
Adult/Child CPR with mask
Infant CPR with mask

Estimated length: 3 hours with everything, or about 2 hours without infant CPR.

Participants will receive a certification card upon completion. 

Heartsaver First Aid

Individuals will learn first aid basics inclduing scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help, as well as medical and injury emergencies such as chock, heart attack care, stroke care, bleeding and broken bones, burns, insect bites and stings, and temperature related emergencies.  

This course covers:
Adult first aid (general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies)
Optional:
Environmental emergencies

Estimated Length: 3.5 hours. This course can also be combined with the CPR and AED course, and will run about 6 hours. 

Participants will receive a certification card upon completion.
